Brenda obtained her Bachelor of Education Degree in 1978 and a Master of Applied Behavioral Studies, Counseling in 1982 from Oklahoma State University. With 32 years of teaching and counseling in the public education system, Brenda is utilizing her experience and passion by providing professional service through private practice in counseling by opening an office in 2010. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marital & Family Therapist (LMFT) and National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). Brenda is also a member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Oklahoma Counseling Association (OCA), Oklahoma Mental Health Counselor Association (OMHCA) and Oklahoma Christian Counseling Association (OCCA).
With a heart of compassion, listening skills, discernment and continued professional development, Brenda desires to help adolescents, individuals, couples and families going through difficult situations. Experience working with at-risk teens, children, behavioral intervention strategies and marital relationships have provided a valuable foundation. Brenda believes that counseling is a ministry providing an opportunity to assist others to discover hope, healing and support through a faith-based Christian perspective. Life is a journey.
Brenda and her husband Lynn have been married for 48 years and are blessed with four children and fifteen precious grandchildren .
